Gay and Neel Inc. is currently providing Surveying and Engineering services to the Town of Christiansburg for the construction of the Town's new Aquatic Center. In addition to on-site site planning and construction staking, Gay and Neel Inc. is providing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and construction staking for the off-site borrow area, located approximately 1.2 miles North of the Aquatic Center Site, at the North Franklin Street-3A Connector Interchange. This work involves Topographic Surveying for volume calculations and slope staking for the proposed "Ultimate Ramp" that was not constructed when the interchange was built several years ago. This ramp will connect the Route 460 (3A) East Bound By-pass to the Route 460 West Bound Business lanes. The materials excavated from the ramp site will be used for fill material at the Aquatic Center Site.
