
Gay and Neel, Inc. provided boundary surveying of a 1,700 acre tract
lying in Montgomery and Roanoke Counties on Fort Lewis Mountain, including
boundary marking and blazing of 18,000 linear feet along the mountain crest.
Additional services included boundary survey of 77 acre parcel acquired and added
to project to provide access to public road, GPS control survey to tie site to
VA State Plane Coordinate System, South Zone, prepared plan and profile
drawings of 2.5 mile long private Reese Mountain Road needed to secure approval
from Montgomery County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors to allow
subdivision of land served by it, determined preferred location of required
emergency helicopter medi-vac landing facility and secured approval from
Carilion Health Systems Life Guard Helicopter Patient Transport Service and
Roanoke County Department of Planning and Zoning for same, prepared subdivision
of initial phase into ten (10) 20 Acre tracts. GNI also provided GPS equipment and site
locations to the Soil Scientist for their use in determining drain field locations,
field located and prepared topographic surveys of same.
