"Homes For Our Troops"
Gay and Neel, Inc. is proud to support those in the armed services who sacrifice so much to keep our country free. Likewise we are proud to be able to do that by donating our Surveying and Engineering Services to assist Homes for our Troops, a national organization that assists severely wounded veterans and their families by constructing specially adapted homes using volunteer efforts. GNI provided Topographic and Boundary Surveying and Site Planning for the home to be constructed in Pulaski County for a local veteran who was disabled by wounds suffered in Afghanistan.

GNI has been authorized by Augusta County to design a new roundabout at the Woodrow Wilson Complex. Apparently this will be the first roundabout in Augusta County. GNI's surveyors contributed to this video, which is a 5-7 minute filler piece to be played on PBS stations. As you probably know, PBS doesn’t do commercials, so they fill the time between shows with these short features.

"Work Starts on New Athletic Fields"
by Jared Turner - Featured in The Roaonoke Times on August 12, 2007
Gay and Neel, Inc. was retained by Shah Development, LLC to design a multi-purpose athletic field and commercial sites on the former Bethel Elementary School site. The athletic field will be used by baseball and softball players of all ages, as well as for soccer and football. A picnic pavilion will compliment the athletic field and will provide a place for family or group gatherings. The athletic field will be donated to Montgomery County after construction has taken place. In addition to the athletic fields, three highly visible commercial sites have been incorporated in the overall master plan. Restaurants, hotels, convenience stores, and other commercial uses are suitable for the site. Visibility and accessibility from I-81 is a key feature of the site and is vital for the success of the fields and commercial uses.
