Gay and Neel Inc. designed and engineered a Planned Unit Residential Development on 108 acres in Montgomery County. The land offered many opportunities to provide wooded lots with exceptional views and convenient access to major roadways and commercial areas.

Gay and Neel’s Landscape Architecture Department developed a plan that offered minimal grading, tree removal, and disturbance of natural features. The views into the site and from the site were also incorporated into the plan. Numerous lots within the Walnut Creek Community take advantage of spectacular views while keeping the existing forests.

Gay and Neel, Inc. prepared the rezoning application and site development, which included submittals to the Montgomery County PSA, Montgomery County Engineer, Health Department, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Town of Christiansburg, and VDOT. The community offers 325 building lots incorporating both single family detached dwellings and single family attached dwellings.
